One week before
Check that your passport is valid for the whole stay. If you need a K-ETA, apply at least 72 hours before departure; approval usually takes 72 hours or less but can take longer, with no express service.
Confirm your travel insurance, set up an eSIM or plan your SIM, and tell your bank you are travelling.
Three days before
You can now submit the free e-Arrival card (unless you hold a K-ETA). Remember it expires if you do not arrive within 72 hours of submitting.
Download offline maps, install Naver Map or KakaoMap, and save your accommodation address in Korean.
The day before
Check your airlineโs baggage rules. Put power banks and e-cigarettes in your carry-on and keep liquids in containers of 100 ml or less. Pack medicine in its original packaging with a doctorโs letter.
Check the weather forecast and the public holidays for your dates.
