๐Ÿงณ Baggage & Arrival

Pick up your bags, solve baggage problems, store luggage or send it to your hotel. Just arrived in Korea? Start here.

What do you need?

Your airport

Just landed?

  1. Aircraft
  2. Immigration
  3. Check the baggage screen
  4. Collect your luggage
  5. Customs
  6. Arrival hall

โš ๏ธ Do not leave the baggage claim area if your checked bag is missing or damaged. Report it first.

๐Ÿงณ Find your bag

1

Find your baggage carousel

After immigration, look at the baggage information screens and find your flight number.

2

Wait at the correct carousel

Check the luggage tag before you take a suitcase that looks like yours.

3

Oversized luggage?

Some oversized items arrive at a separate oversized baggage counter instead of the normal carousel.

Example on the screen: flight number โ†’ belt number
KE123 โ†’ Belt 12 ยท OZ201 โ†’ Belt 7

๐Ÿ’ก Your carousel may change. Always check the airport screen instead of relying only on your boarding pass.

๐Ÿท๏ธ Keep your baggage claim tag. You may need it if your bag is delayed, missing or damaged.

Oversized items
  • Skis
  • Surfboards
  • Golf bags
  • Bicycles
  • Strollers

At this airport, follow the Oversized Baggage signs or ask at the baggage claim desk.

โš ๏ธ My bag did not arrive

Do not leave the baggage claim area yet.

  1. 1Wait until baggage delivery for your flight has finished. Bags from the same flight sometimes come out in batches.
  2. 2Check the oversized baggage area. Large or unusual items may come out separately.
  3. 3Go to your airlineโ€™s baggage service counter. Checked baggage is handled by your airline, not by the airport Lost & Found office.
  4. 4Show your baggage claim tag and boarding pass, and give the airline your hotel address and contact details.
  5. 5Ask how you can track the bag and whether it can be delivered to your hotel when it is found.
  6. 6Keep the baggage report and tracking information.
Have these ready
  • Boarding pass
  • Baggage claim tag
  • Passport
  • Contact details
  • Hotel address

Find my airlineโ€™s baggage desk: Look for the Lost Baggage / Baggage Service counter behind the carousels, or ask airport staff for your airlineโ€™s desk.

๐Ÿ’ฅ My bag is damaged

Report the damage before you leave the baggage claim area whenever possible.

  1. 1Take clear photos of the damage.
  2. 2Keep your baggage claim tag.
  3. 3Go to your airlineโ€™s baggage service counter.
  4. 4Keep any report or receipt you receive.

You need: boarding pass, baggage tag, passport, the damaged suitcase and photos of the damage.

Already left the airport? Contact your airline directly as soon as possible.

At other airports, ask at the information desk for the Lost & Found office.

๐Ÿ”’ Store your luggage

You may be able to store a suitcase at an airport luggage counter or a nearby transport hub. Services, hours and prices change, so check the current information before you use one.

How long?

Prices vary by provider, bag size, route and booking method. Check the current price before booking.

Luggage storage and delivery options at Incheon

Other airports: ask at the information desk, or check the airportโ€™s own website for luggage services.

VisitKorea also describes luggage services for hands-free travel.

๐Ÿšš Send your luggage to your hotel

Want to explore Korea without your suitcase? Send your luggage from the airport and collect it later at your hotel or another supported place.

From the airport to a hotel, accommodation, station or another airport, where the provider supports it.

โœ… Good fit ifโ€ฆ
  • You arrive in the morning but hotel check-in is in the afternoon.
  • You want to explore Seoul before checking in.
  • You do not want to carry a suitcase on AREX, the subway or buses.
  • You travel with children or several bags.
๐Ÿงณ Better to carry it yourself ifโ€ฆ
  • Your hotel is outside the delivery area.
  • You arrive after the providerโ€™s cut-off time.
  • Your bag holds valuables or fragile items.
  • You need your luggage right after you arrive.
How it usually works
  1. 1Check availability: confirm your airport, accommodation and travel date are supported.
  2. 2Reserve if required: some services need advance booking, others may accept walk-ins.
  3. 3Drop off your luggage at the designated airport service point.
  4. 4Keep your receipt, reservation number and tracking information.
  5. 5Collect your luggage at the destination, following the providerโ€™s schedule.
Before you send your bag

โš ๏ธ Staying somewhere without a front desk? Do not assume unattended luggage can be delivered. Contact your host or accommodation first and confirm how the luggage will be received.

Keep these with you

Do not put essential or valuable items in luggage that is stored or delivered.

  • Passport
  • Cash
  • Credit and debit cards
  • Jewelry
  • Essential medication
  • Important travel documents

Restrictions differ by provider. Check the providerโ€™s current rules before you hand over your bag.

Domestic baggage delivery

If you continue by domestic flight, for example to Jeju or Busan, Gimpo and Jeju airports show a separate domestic arrival baggage delivery service on the Korea Airports Corporation site. This is different from international arrival services, so check the airportโ€™s page.

Airport-specific information: CJU ยท Jeju

  • Jeju has one integrated terminal for domestic and international flights.
  • Domestic arrival baggage delivery is shown on the airport site. Check it if you continue by domestic flight.
